Abstract

Reduction of a bis(amidodimethyl)disiloxane Mg( ii ) compound affords a mixture of N , N - and N , O -chelated Mg( i ) species. Reactivity with RNCNR and CO demonstrate reducing behaviour, with the products showing a combination of ligands at magnesium.
