Abstract

Single crystals of LnBS 3 (Ln = La–Nd) were synthesized by the combined boron–chalcogen mixture and molten flux growth methods. SHG measurements confirmed the expectation that LaBS 3 would exhibit a strong SHG response, measured at 1.5 × KDP.
