Abstract

The large-scale wind power brings challenges to the power system flexibility. The demand response (DR) can provide flexible resources fast and economical. In this paper, a novel unit commitment model of large-scale wind power system considering the contribution of DR to multi time scale flexibility is presented. According to the multi time scale characteristics of DR resources, the multi time scale scheduling model of DR is established; Considering the flexible resource contribution of DR and the time-varying of wind power forecasting error, the multi time scale flexible resource supply and demand model is developed; Then the unit commitment model of large-scale wind power system considering the multi time scale flexibility contribution of DR resources is proposed. The mixed integer programming method is used as the solver. The proposed model can reflect the balance between flexibility supply and demand for multi time scale, and improve the economy of system operation on the premise of ensuring the system flexibility and security. Case studies are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model.
