Abstract
Abstract Coating is widely known as an effective conventional method in anti‐corrosion. In combination with nanomaterials, the coating has been controlled at nanoscale, which is coined as nanocoating and exhibits superior protection functionality. In this review, we extensively discuss different coating approaches that have utilized advanced materials such as nonconductive and/or conductive polymers, nanoparticles, and their nanocomposites. Finally, some suggestions and future perspectives regarding utilization of nanocoating in anti‐corrosion are also put forward.
