Abstract

Existing approaches to simulation data management refer to the use cases of virtual product development and are not easily transferable to the product utilization phase. Subsequently, there is a need for further development of simulation data management for the application in the Digital Twin. Existing approaches were examined and further developed for application in the Digital Twin. Specifically, the process scope, the information data model and methods were examined and illustrated by a case study. Concerning the required methods, further steps are proposed. The results of this work provide a decisive step for the management of simulation data in the Digital Twin.
