Abstract

Big data refers to storing a huge amount of data, as well as the ability to derive value from that information at a rapid rate. This technology is based on 5 Vs, which are value, volume, velocity, variety and veracity. This chapter aims to implement a discrete event-based model to improve the transmission of information in communication systems, through the pre-coding process of bits applying discrete events in the signal before the modulation process, using advanced modulation format Differential Quadrature Phase Shift Keying with Rician Fading. Cloud computing is a concept that refers to a technology that allows access to programs, files and services through the Internet, without the need to install programs or data storage, hence the allusion to “cloud.” Private cloud refers to cloud computing resources used exclusively by a single company and may be physically located in the company’s local data center.
