Microencapsulated and Fresh Royal Jelly: Monitoring 10-HDA Content, Antibacterial and Antifungal Activity at Different Storage Periods

Abstract
HIGHLIGHTS Microencapsulation maintained 10-HDA content and the antimicrobial activity of RJ for six months. A correlation was found between the antimicrobial activity and 10-HDA content. Microencapsulation of RJ is a promising technique enabling storage at room temperature. Innovative RJ products can be developed by advanced formula and microencapsulation.
