Abstract
A sulfonic acid-functionalized zirconium-based coordination catalyst (Zr-BDC-S 60 ) containing Zr 4+ –O 2− pairs and –SO 3 H groups showed satisfactory catalytic activity and stability for the one-pot reductive etherification of HMF to BIPMF.
