Abstract

We herein present a polarity-matched, light-induced radical strategy that enables the direct 1,2-heteroarylalkylation of alkenes using a range of commercially available alkyl bromides and heteroarenes under catalyst- and additive-free conditions. This transformation proceeds under mild reaction conditions, exhibits excellent chemoselectivity, and demonstrates a broad substrate scope (42 examples), including derivatives of pharmaceuticals and natural products.
