Abstract

This work introduces a novel simplified approach to phase difference estimation between two Continuous-Wave (CW) signals. The operative scenario is the Angle of Arrival (AoA) identification through phase interferometry approach, in which the phase difference is the only unknown parameter. The proposed strategy defines a building block for a full-hardware system for AoA estimation. A quantitative empirical comparison on the computational complexity of the algorithm and the classical and well-known in literature MUSIC algorithm is performed, among with experiments aiming to compare the accuracy of both approaches.
