Advances in the synthesis of α,α‐difluoro‐γ‐lactams

Abstract

Abstract The γ‐lactam rings have been found to be the core structures of a large number of natural compounds and drugs with a wide range of biological activities. This mini‐review focuses on the synthesis of α,α‐difluoro‐γ‐lactams using α‐bromodifluoroacetamides, α‐bromodifluoroacetates, 2‐alkyl‐2,2‐difluoroacetamides, etc. as fluorine sources.
