Optical response of atom chains beyond the limit of low light intensity: The validity of the linear classical oscillator model
L. A. Williamson, J. Ruostekoski
Abstract
The authors use quantum simulations to study the optical response of cold atomic ensembles. They find that the drive intensity at which the linear model becomes inaccurate grows as a power law of the linewidth of the dominantly excited low light intensity collective eigenmode.
