Abstract
Nanogenerators have attracted particular attention during the last decade. Here, a novel functional triboelectric nanogenerator based on the foam (F-TENG) was inverted. In this design, the foam and the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) are used as the triboelectric materials. The F-TENG can be developed for mechanical energy harvesting, and it also can serve as human hand motion monitoring. Based on experiments, with the load of 80 MΩ, the maximum output power of F-TENG can get to 183 µW. The open-circuit voltage (Voc) of F-TENG can reach 224.26 V, and the short-circuit current (Isc) of F-TENG can arrive at 2.74 µA. Moreover, F-TENG can be used as the self-powered hand sensor. This study shows a portable TENG device for human hand motion monitoring applications.
