Abstract
Now a day, Electricity consumer demands reliable and qualitative power supply from distribution utilities due to increased use of nonlinear loads. These nonlinear loads cause power quality disturbances. In industrial plants many electrical and electronic devices are sensitive to the voltage sag. The voltage decrease is a frequent and significant issue of power quality, which has received a lot of attention. There's many numerous custom control devices available, to offset power quality disturbances. Among which dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) is most effective and promising Flexible ac transmission system (FACTS) Device. In this article a claim is performed with total harmonic distortion (THD) in load voltage when using MATLAB / SIMULINK to apply Sinusoidal PWM (SPWM) and Space Vector PWM (SVPWM) techniques to an inverter. The simulation results demonstrate that the comparison against SPWM and SVPWM offers greater efficiency.
