Writing and deleting skyrmions with electric fields in a multiferroic heterostructure

Abstract

This article shows that in a van der Waals multiferroic heterostructure, the electric field controls the electric polarization and influences the interfacial Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction, resulting in the creation and annihilation of skyrmions.
