Abstract
A method of quantitative estimation of the porosity of oxide ceramic coatings obtained by the method of plasmoelectrolytic oxidation of aluminum-D16 alloy was developed and tested. Multiscale segmentation method was proposed based on shape and contrast of the pores in images. The porosity of the surfaces of the oxide ceramic coatings obtained at different ratios of the anode and cathode current densities was investigated. Correlations between the porosity of the obtained coatings and their corrosion durability were established.
