Abstract

Abstract Managing the processes of servicing multiservice traffic in data transmission networks based on spacecrafts in a low circular orbit is a challenging task that requires modeling with allowance for real network operation conditions. Analytical and simulation models of such a network have been developed for the case of concentration of a large number of subscribers in a relatively small area, when it is difficult to meet the service quality requirements. The analytical model is based on a multidimensional stepwise Markov processes. The simulation model allows one to check the acceptability of the assumptions made during the analytical modeling and estimate quality indicators for a large number of network states. The models can be used to evaluate the capabilities of networks to serve areas with a high concentration of subscribers.
