Abstract

Abstract The reaction of N-methylated nimesulide with Koiser’s reagent based on 4-iodo-3,5-dimethylisoxazole (DMIX-I(OH)OTs) yielded the corresponding iodonium salt. Subsequent interaction of this salt with S-, O-, and N-nucleophiles gave functionalized derivatives of nimesulide.
