Abstract

This research presents a Micro strip patch antenna design that includes two parasitic patches and a strategically positioned slot, resulting in a significant increase in its bandwidth. Initially, an antenna is constructed using Microstrip feed with specific dimensions (x: 2 mm, y: 5 mm, z: 0 mm). Parametric analysis of the patches is carried out to validate the anticipated improvement in bandwidth. Subsequently, an antenna with two parasitic patches is manufactured and tested, resulting in a measured bandwidth (|s_11|<-10 dB) ranging from 8.23 to 15.14 GHz, covering 54.2% of the bandwidth. Furthermore, slots are incorporated into the parasitic patches of the antenna, significantly enhancing its bandwidth capabilities. Through comprehensive testing and experimentation, the upgraded antenna with the additional slots attains an impressive 10-dB impedance bandwidth of 63.25%, extending from 8.21 to 15.11 GHz. This underscores the considerable potential for improving bandwidth through intelligent design modifications, opening avenues for enhanced antenna performance in diverse applications.
