Recent development of chemiluminescence for bioanalysis

Abstract
Chemiluminescence (CL) bioassay has become an increasingly area of interest in recent years. This review systematically presents the recent developments of emerging CL assay and their application in bioanalysis. A brief overview of the CL development history and classical CL substances commonly used in the bioassay is firstly provided. Then a detailed explanation in CL amplification system, CL joint technology and their application in bioassay are highlighted with recent illustrative examples. Furthermore, the future prospectives of CL bioassay are analyzed with the critical eyes.
