Abstract

Wound healing after tissue injury is a well-orchestrated process involving various cell types, growth factors, and extracellular matrix (ECM) components. Collagen triple helix repeat containing-1 (CTHRC1), a secreted ECM protein, is transiently expressed in the repair process after arterial injury and myocardial infarction, 1 regulating collagen matrix deposition and cell migration through TGF- signaling pathway. 2 However, the expression and function of CTHRC1 during cutaneous wound repair remain largely undefined.
