Abstract

It is shown that a multiparameter system of strength, resource, survivability, and safety assessment applies to measuring parameters such as the static, dynamic, and cyclical strength, cracking resistance, cold resistance, and corrosion resistance. The laws of straining and fracture are used, and the general statement and solutions of basic and applied strength, resource, survivability, and safety problems are considered in building structures of the defining equations and their parameters for design models and actual engineering systems, taking into account standard, emergency, and catastrophic situations as well as the accumulated process and operational failure rate. The fundamental elements of ensuring safe operation of engineering and process facilities loaded in complex modes are the equations of state, fracture criteria, and the criterial base of the science of structural materials. Taken together, these elements form a multiparameter system of strength, resource, survivability, and safety assessment.
