Abstract

Continuum Robots The cover illustrates three continuum robots accessing a nuclear facility through pipes, with a pneumatically actuated robot manipulating a radioactive component, a tendon-driven continuum robot performing a laser machining task on it, and a concentric tube robot monitoring the operation. In article number 2200367, recent advances, current limitations, and open challenges in the design, modeling, and control of continuum robots are discussed by Matteo Russo, Dragos Axinte, and colleagues.
