Abstract
The first Yb III -containing POMs with a selenium heteroatom have been isolated, namely Keggin {Yb 4 Se 6 W 44 } and Wells–Dawson {Yb 4 Se 6 W 45 }, the former of which exhibits field-induced SMM behavior.
