Abstract

The network is a prominent aspect of communication. The network facilitates devices to exchange information between individuals and led to massive growth in the networking field. In this context, the security of information has become a great challenge. The 3 basic factors of security are Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. Intrusion detection is an essential component of security but the performance of IDS is not satisfactory and hence an efficient approach is necessary to obviate concerns on performance. Machine Learning approaches are very helpful in this regard.
