Abstract

NaCl crystals are employed as a substrate to grow MoS 2 nanosheets. On dissolving NaCl, the nanosheets are introduced to silicon nanoparticles using layer-by-layer assembly forming robust MoS 2 @Si anodes for lithium-ion batteries.
