Abstract
In this paper, a mathematical model on the grounding resistance of vertical electrode is proposed. The proposed mathematical model is modeled with consideration of the effects of parameters such as the length and diameter of vertical electrode, the soil resistivity and the embedding depth. This mathematical model can be applied effectively to the design of grounding system using vertical electrode in harmonious soil with the resistivity values less than 900Ω∙m. The accuracy of proposed model is proved by the simulation analysis and measurement examination of the electric field in this paper.
