Abstract

In the paper, an algorithm for the rotor field orientation control of induction motors dedicated to the electric traction of the autonomous vehicles is experimentally evaluated. The problem is not simple because there are two major difficulties. First, the motors voltage is strong distorted and can not be used for vector field identification. Also, the control structure contains two interconnected control ways, each one with two controllers. The authors have developed an algorithm for diminishing the both previous difficulties. On this basis, the control have been implemented on the dSPACE 1104 DSP board and the experimental evaluation was performed in two aspects: the dynamic and the static performances over entire speed domain. In this goal, an experimental laboratory setup was developed.
