Abstract
Abstract A series of new 1,2,3-triazole derivatives was synthesized via a 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction. Structures of the synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectra, and elemental analysis. The new 1,2,3-triazole derivatives were screened in vitro for their anticancer activity against both HdFn (human dermal fibroblast) and MCF-7 (human breast cancer) cell lines, as well as they were investigated for their antioxidant activity. The results of the cytotoxicity assay revealed that some of the synthesized derivatives showed good inhibitor activity against MCF-7 and HdFn cell lines compared to the standard drug and this was confirmed by the molecular docking study. In addition, results of the DPPH test revealed that some of the tested compounds possess a good selectivity index to capture free radicals.
