Abstract
Sulfenamides, as S(II) compounds, occupy a critical role in modern synthetic chemistry, driven by their multifaceted applications across pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and diverse industrial sectors. Functioning as versatile intermediates, sulfenamides facilitate a broad array of transformations, including oxidation, amination, and sulfuration, underscoring their utility in complex molecular construction. This review presents an in‐depth analysis of sulfenamide synthesis, reactivity patterns, and multifarious applications, with a particular focus on recent mechanistic insights and prospective advances poised to shape the next generation of sulfenamide chemistry.
