Abstract
In this article, we consider a communication system with quantum cryptographic equipment that implements quantum key distribution, in which there is a section of an atmospheric optical communication line. The features of turbulence occurrence in the surface layer of the troposphere, including in urban agglomerations, in which terminals of the atmospheric communication line of communication systems with quantum cryptographic protection are located, are considered. The methodology and experimental settings of the model experiment are described. The results of an experimental study of the effect of turbulence of various origins on the efficiency of a communication system with an atmospheric optical communication line are discussed. The results of the model experiment showed a significant effect of turbulence on the characteristics of the optical channel, which can be used to predict the functioning of secure communication systems with an atmospheric optical communication line
