Abstract

An orthogonal cross-coupling between aromatic C(sp 2 ) and aliphatic olefinic C(sp 2 ) carbons of two same molecules via dual C–H activation and ortho C–H olefination with various alkenes via distal ester directing group has been developed for the first time.
