Abstract
R1234ze(E) is one of the new generations of refrigerants that are environment-friendly. The solubility of R1234ze(E) in the polyvinyl ether (PVE) 32 and polyol ester (POE) 32 oils was measured at a temperature ranging from 313.15 to 353.15 K and pressure from 0.123 to 0.360 MPa. Besides, the experimental data were correlated by the PR equation of state with the van der Waals mixing rule. The interaction coefficient at different temperatures and the average absolute relative deviation between calculated value and experimental data were studied. The results showed that the solubility of R1234ze(E) in PVE 32 and POE 32 oils decreased with the increase of temperature. Furthermore, the equilibrium pressure of R1234ze(E) in PVE 32 and POE 32 oils was a maximum with the variation of solubility. The numerical calculation model for the equilibrium pressure and solubility was proposed by a cubic relationship with acceptable accuracy, and the absolute average deviations between the calculated values and experimental data were 1.15 and 1.32%, respectively.
