Abstract

Herein, we have demonstrated visible-light-induced palladium-catalyzed N-arylation of NH-sulfoximines under milder conditions. A series of aryl bromides and sulfoximines were successfully employed in N-arylation reactions, affording the corresponding N -aryl sulfoximines in good to excellent yields with broad functional group tolerance. This methodology demonstrates a strong potential for the late-stage functionalization of complex small molecules. Comprehensive mechanistic investigations complemented by density functional theory studies provide strong support for the proposed reaction mechanism, providing key insights into the reaction mechanism and further validating the robustness of the developed N-arylation protocol.
