Abstract

COVID-19 Imaging Markers"We thank Merchant et al. [1] for their interest in our systematic review of chest imaging characteristics of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) [2].The points raised by the authors are of great importance and useful in radiologic evaluation of patients with COVID-19.Our systematic review was performed very early in the course of the COVID-19 outbreak and there was a paucity of information at the time. However, with the increasing number of large-scale studies, our knowledge of COVID-19 has evolved and supplementary chest imaging features have been introduced to the literature. As addressed by Merchant et al. [1], subpleural sparing, reversed halo sign, and pulmonary infarcts are important findings that are discussed in multiple published studies and can be useful in radiologic diagnosis of COVID-19.In support of the authors' comments, we would like to add a number of points.
