Ransomware Detection in Executable Files Using Machine Learning

Abstract

attacks to get complete control on the victim’s data. Ransomware attackers will demand money in the form of ransom to decrypt the encrypted data in the system. There are many ways for ransomware attackers to enter assets, one of the easy ways among them is to enter via executable files. Traditional antivirus software cannot detect ransomware because ransomware have advanced tactics to escape from this conventional antivirus software’s because most of these antivirus software’s are signature based. So, our approach is opposite to this traditional software’s here we are using machine learning approach to detect ransomware hides in executable files.
