Abstract

Microservices have become an essential architectural enabler in cloud-based software development and delivery. 1 Many organizations, from large tech companies (e.g., Google, Amazon, Netflix) to small start-ups, have adopted microservices as a best practice. 2 This has served them well in some cases and, as you will see here, not so well in others.
