Teacher Professional Development in the Digital Age: Strategies for Integrating Technology and Pedagogy

Abstract
The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed the educational landscape, creating a critical need for teacher professional development (TPD) that integrates technology with pedagogy. This article explores strategies for enhancing teacher competencies in the digital age, focusing on the integration of educational technologies into pedagogical practices. It synthesizes key approaches from recent research, including blended learning models, professional learning communities (PLCs), and personalized learning pathways. The findings suggest that effective TPD programs are those that not only provide hands-on technology training but also emphasize pedagogical alignment, collaboration among educators, and ongoing support. The article argues that successful integration of technology in the classroom requires a shift in both teaching practices and teacher mindsets, supported by institutional policies that promote innovation and adaptability. Ultimately, this research highlights the importance of a holistic approach to TPD that fosters both technological fluency and pedagogical mastery, preparing educators to meet the demands of 21st-century learners.
