On the origin of the surface superhydrophobicity of rough-textured inorganic materials with intrinsic hydrophilicity

Abstract
Studies on typical rough-textured inorganic materials showed that the superhydrophobicity of intrinsically hydrophilic inorganic materials originates from a O 2 2− predominant O 2 molecular adsorption layer induced by anion vacancies.
