The Digital Twin of Oil and Gas Pipeline System

Abstract
China’s oil and gas pipeline companies put forward the transformation strategy from digital pipeline to intelligent pipeline in 2017, and will carry out relevant work in engineering construction, information system, scientific research and other aspects from 2020. After several rounds of research and discussion, digital twin has been established as the most critical enabling technology and the most important achievement of intelligent pipeline. In this paper, the role of digital twin in the intelligent transformation of oil and gas pipeline is discussed in detail, and the definition, long-term goal, application paradigm and future key work of digital Twin are given.
