Abstract

A series of near-linear Co II –Ln–Co II complexes are synthesized, and their experimental static and dynamic magnetic behavior is investigated. SMM behavior is observed for Co 2 Pr, which is rare. The experimental findings are further rationalized using theoretical studies.
