Abstract
Weak van der Waals forces between anisotropic carbon layers doped into a SiO<sub>2</sub>–ZrO<sub>2</sub> matrix allow reversible pressure-induced switching of CO<sub>2</sub> between monolayer and multilayer adsorption.
