Abstract
The Mn-phosphate complex (Mn-Pi) plays a key role in the cellular resistance of radioresistant bacteria. The evolutionarily ancient polyphosphate polymers (polyphosphate [PolyP]) could effectively chelate Mn 2+ and donate phosphates.
