Abstract
Aim: To design a compact Innovative Coplanar Waveguide (CPW) triple band Bandpass Filter (TBPF) for low band (8 – 12 GHz) and compared with Microstrip Triple Bandpass Filter (MTBP). Materials and Methods: The proposed design is based on the CPW triple-band bandpass filter, which consists of a simple rectangular frame constructed on a 1.6mm thick commercially available Silicon material substrate. Group 1 contained a microstrip dual-bandpass filter and group 2 was the CPW dual-band pass filter. Total sample size calculated is 20 for each group 10 with G power 80%. Results: The simulated and experimental results for triple-bandpass filter Return Loss is increased to -17.40 dB, -13.06 dB, -19.48 dB at 8.80 GHz, 10.5 GHz, 11 GHz. The obtained value of significance is 0.028 (p < 0.05). The triple-band pass filter was designed and its performance was evaluated using ansoft HFSS version 15.0 software. Conclusion: The results of simulation shows that the insertion loss of a triple band pass filter has significantly increased for the CPW triple-band bandpass filter.
