Abstract

In article number 2000680, Siyu Lu, Yupeng Tian, Hong Bi, and co-workers show that fluorine and nitrogen co-doped carbon dots with a formation of donor-π-acceptor conjugated structure have large multi-photon absorption cross-sections and unique up-conversion property. They show bright deep-red fluorescence in vitro and in vivo, and can specifically stain the nucleoli of tumor cells.
