Abstract

The present research article manifests the dissipation and dispersion characteristics of Love-type waves in a flexoelectric-piezoelectric/functionally graded piezomagnetic material structure, loaded with Newtonian liquid. The interface between the piezoelectric plate and the piezomagnetic substrate is considered mechanically and electromagnetically imperfect. Transcendental complex dispersion relations for electrically and magnetically open and short cases are obtained by rigorous analytical methods. A particular numerical example is considered and dispersion, as well as attenuation curves are obtained for it. Influences of mechanical and electromechanical imperfections, flexoelectricity, layer-thickness, and material gradient parameters on phase velocity and attenuation of Love-type waves are meticulously examined.
