Abstract
Australia, “The Land of Plenty,” is known for its resources and particularly energy resources, with vast potential to power its energy system from sun and wind. Unfortunately, the “plenty” of Australia also includes significant extreme weather events. Among others, wildfires (known as bushfires in Australia) are an important hazard type that impacts the environment and human society, including engineering systems such as the power system.
