Abstract
In participants with locally advanced rectal cancer following neoadjuvant chemotherapy, diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) improved the ability of MRI to identify potential pathologic complete response, with DWI-modified MR tumor regression grade enabling accurate prediction of a pathologic complete response (area under the receiver operating characteristic curve, 0.90; specificity, 89%; negative predictive value, 93%).
