A piezoelectric energy harvester based on multi-cantilevers and magnetic force

Abstract

In this paper, a piezoelectric energy harvester based on multi-cantilevers is designed. The nonlinear magnetic force is introduced into the vibration energy harvesting structure to improve the response frequency band and energy conversion efficiency of the energy harvester. The dynamic equations of the multi-cantilevers under magnetic excitation are established. The modal of the cantilever beam is verified by finite element simulation. The simulation and experimental results show that the proposed energy harvesting structure can not only broaden the frequency bandwidth but also improve the energy harvesting efficiency. The maximum energy harvesting power of the designed device reached 10.6 mW at 40 rpm.
