Abstract
[Rh(CNAr) 4 ](A) complexes of polyalkoxytriphenylene-arylisocyanide ligands form deeply coloured mesophases with segregated triphenylene/metal-complex columns at −9–169 °C with hole mobility 2 to 4 orders of magnitude higher than organic triphenylenes.
